AMSOIL DOMINATOR® Synthetic 15W-50 Racing Oil (RD50) provides superior performance and maximum protection in high-performance and racing applications. DOMINATOR is engineered from advanced synthetic technology to better withstand the elevated rpm, high temperatures and shock-loading common to racing applications. Its robust formulation, tested and validated by championship race teams, is designed to provide maximum horsepower without sacrificing engine protection. DOMINATOR provides straight-grade protection in a multi-grade formulation.

Anti-Wear Formulation

Racing and high-performance engines are typically modified to deliver maximum horsepower and speed. Their powerful designs create shearing forces that can cause lesser oils to lose viscosity, leaving bearings, pistons and other components vulnerable to wear and failure. DOMINATOR Synthetic Racing Oil’s durable formulation resists viscosity loss due to mechanical shear to maintain a strong protective oil film. It is heavily fortified with zinc and phosphorus anti-wear additives to provide additional protection against scuffing and wear in severe racing conditions (see results below).

The piston crown contains normal carbon, while the rings remain clean and functional. Note the absence of wear or scuffing on the piston skirt. The camshaft shows little-to-no scoring, bluing or wear after 3,000 miles of high-performance racing.

this is the ONLY oil I will run in my race car period. a few years ago I got cheap and started using a competitors oil and started having lots of little oil related problems….opened my eyes to what was happening and went back to my Amsoil and all those gremlins stopped. true story

We’ve been racing Dodge Neons for 15 years now. We used to blow 1-2 engines a year from spun bearings. He have not spun a single bearing, nor blown an engine in the last 5-7 years, since switching to Amsoil. We use 10W-30 Dominator in our engines, Syncromesh in our transmissions, and the high temp brake fluid. Our local rep, Andy Bolton is already there for us if we need quicker than we can order on-line. Because of our racing success with Amsoil, I use it in all of my (3) street cars, and all 5 of my son’s use it in there street cars and trucks as well.

Only oil that keeps up in my 2015 Cammed Camaro SS/RS where a zinc additive is required. I run over 3K rpm daily in normal driving mode. Have had zero issues with oil and keeps engine clean. It does break down under high load over extended periods. For me roughly every 3k miles I need to add a qt, remember I run high rpm daily so this is normal.

I needed a high V oil for my 448 cu. in. Hemi it runs hot and the summer here in in PSL FL is HOT ! so I am trying to reduce heat soak and hold max oil pressure so far so good but wont know for sure till next summer

Scott Douglas works directly with AMSOIL tweaking the 15W50 racing formula. He says it saves the engine everytime right when it should fail!

I had the chance to talk to Scott Douglas regarding the last couple minutes of a race how he always pegs out the lead – He said the engines at that point are all about to quit but the Dominator amazingly lets him keep the throttle down while others have to back off as all these engines are mechanically unstable from all the shock.
Scott says they typically wont drive 10 feet after a race, that’s how close to the end they take the engines and Dominator has the technology to get Scott to the finish line.
