PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL MPHD is the product of choice for metal surfaces that require a heavy duty lubricant or are exposed to the damaging effects of salt, moisture or chemical corrosion. It is ideal for hinges, wire ropes and springs, nuts and bolts, motorcycle or bicycle chains, and for undercoating wheel wells and other metal surfaces exposed to water, dirt or road salt.

Recommend for anyone with outdoor equipment such as farms and construction, lawn care and snow removal services, marine equipment, machine shops, and more. Great long lasting indoor/outdoor corrosion inhibitor and is recommended for protecting parts in storage.

AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Metal Protector is best known for it's ability to protect and maintain lubrication and repel dust and dirt from motorcycle, bike, ATV and conveyor chains.

* You can use our other low cost MP (Metal Protector in the white can) to clean the chain, allow it to dry then apply MPHD. Sometimes break cleaner is needed for stubborn dirt and grime but the AMSOIL MPHD will penetrate all surfaces.

The Original Metal Protector is the better option when you need a lubricant without any film as well as a rust penetrant and to free frozen parts. Also pushes away moisture.

We have sold this to numerous wire-rope manufacturers as a finishing agent to "rust-proof" spools of elevator wire rope. When sold by the drum there is a much higher concentration of solvent which allows the product to penetrate deep within the ropes. Feedback has been remarkable. Orders must be in advance for drums.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Spray product on area to be treated. For best results, do not wipe off. Film carrier will evaporate, leaving MPHD on treated surface.

*Note: Due to the broad use of this product we will be posting some photos and short videos regarding the use of AMSOIL MPHD. One particular application I am rather fond of is the use on front end steering and suspension parts. When restoring or repairing older vehicle front end parts, it's important to seal the elements, salt and moisture away from these expensive and critical parts. After painting and/or primer, apply the Amsoil Heavy Duty Metal Protector. Springs, alignment threads, nuts and bolts and exposed areas in the fenders are prime reasons to try AMSOIL MPHD.

Lately I have received sales for the "Homebrew" Ham Radio market. the AMSOIL Heavy Duty Metal Protector is great for sealing moisture out from fresh antenna projects or modifications. Keeps wire antennas from oxidizing and solder connections from corroding. Stalls the formation of aluminum oxide at adjustable antenna joints. Keeps water out on those remote DX camping sites when operating in field conditions.

The Tractor Forum - Amsoil Metal protector (MP) has a multitude of uses, I personally use it on my guns as a protector to prevent rust, I also found that when deer or pheasant hunting when temps go below zero MP will not get thick and gummy like Remlube and many of the other gun oils will, thus eliminating misfires caused by an action that will not cycle properly.
It also works excellent as a penetrant and as a metal protector to prevent corrosion, I use it to prevent rust on occasional use tools that get put away and not thought about again until needed.
Another thing I use it for is key locks on vehicles and exterior doors, it displaces moisture and keeps them from freezing up when it gets cold.
Another product you mentioned is Heavy Duty Metal Protector ( MPHD)
MPHD is an awesome chain lube, I have many area farmers using this product on planter chains and corn and bean head chains.
MPHD comes in an aerosol can and sprays out as a liquid that penetrates into the pins and bushings of the chain, once applied the solvents evaporate and it leaves behind a dry waxy film that lubricates beautifully, but does not attract dust.
Most chain lubes stay wet after application, wet chains attract dust to them, the dust mixes with the chain lube and makes a gritty lapping compound that ends up increasing the wear and reducing the life of the pins and bushings in the chain.
The farmers I have using MPHD swear by it, most are reporting 2 to 3 times longer chain life on planter and cornhead chains versus the wet type chain lubes they were previously using.
Another place I use MPHD is on battery terminals, because the waxy residue it leaves seals out oxygen which eliminates corrosion.
Once I have cleaned the terminals I give them a coat and let it set until the solvents evaporate, I repeat this until I have 2 or 3 coats on the terminals.
Dont forget motorcycle and atv chains, it works super on them as well, and is compatible with o-ring type chains.
